Its been two weeks since I took part in the Nationalpark Bikemarathon, and as always, at the end of the season, its so nice to have more time to myself and enjoy the feeling of not having to go out and get some kilometres in one the bike. I’ve been out late, eaten loads, drank loads, done a cool hiking trip, and been able to enjoy some running again. Endorphines guaranteed, and in a 1/4 of the time compared to cycling!
The first few runs hurt a lot. I am carrying a slight injury, I strained my glute probably due to a slight adjustment I made to my saddle the week before the mtb race. But that wasn’t what hurt the most, it felt like everything around my joints and ankles just weren’t used to stabilizing anymore. No wonder, since January I can count the amount of runs I have done on one hand! But surprisingly, just after one week, I feel better and I can enjoy running again.
Ive been working my way up to 90 minutes. Mostly hill running, and today I am happy to have hit some nice times onthe ascent of Uetliberg! We’re not talking about record breaking stuff here but its somewhere to start from – until I move onto the Weissenstein when I move to Solothurn in a few weeks! Eeek!
