Creux de Van – Six Years Later

Last Sunday the sun was shining and it was definitely the right time to don those hiking boots and get out and explore. It had been nearly six years since I visited Crux de Van. The first time was with my newly made friends in Zurich when I had just moved there. It was also around the same time of the year, April and we camped by a river and mountain biked.

I distinctly remember waking up terrified in the middle of the night with the sensation that either a man, or a cow, was pressing against the tent and being so frozen with fear I couldn’t even shout out.

And we didn’t even drink the local Absinthe.

Here are some impressions of a mellower walk around that beautiful amphitheatre last Sunday. Topped off with a dinner in Neuchatel by the lake at the end.

Heaven.

And here is the hike on Strava should you want to check it out for yourself some day.
